Initial Consultation

By the time you search Rhode Island laser hair removal and get to our web site you’ve probably been considering having laser hair removal done for some time. We understand your concerns when you are looking for laser hair removal or any other aesthetic procedures. You probably have a lot of questions regarding the safety and the results of such treatments. There are many clinics out there advertising for it. We would like you to ask us several questions and we would like to encourage you to bring a list of questions with you, so nothing is overlooked. We believe that open communication is the first step in achieving excellent results.
During your initial consultation, you will meet our staff and express your needs to us. We will, in turn, discuss it in detail with you and offer you realistic answers and expectations.
You might have heard or read elsewhere that hair removal or reduction is permanent or guaranteed for a certain time period. In reality, it is not. You will be able to achieve 80-95% of hair reduction, on the average, depending on the location you choose, whether underarms, bikini, legs, face or other areas, and on your skin type. According to the FDA, permanent hair reduction is defined as a long-term stable reduction in the number of hairs regrowing after a treatment regimen. Recent expert opinion and observational evidence suggests that seven treatments are required for excellent results in laser hair removal; we offer eight. Afterwards, you will have four complimentary additional treatments, i.e., one treatment every three months.
In case we find you not suitable for a successful treatment, we will tell you, as we value your time and our credibility. We will give you realystic expectations about your potential hair reduction results. As well, we recommend you undergo a physical examination and hormonal evaluation with your doctor before starting treatments, to make sure your hormones are fine.
Additionally, a medical doctor will be directly involved in your treatment at Skinsational Laser Center, as opposed to having an off-site “supervising” role.
You will be given a health questionnaire to complete. We will go over pre, during and post-treatment instructions, what to do and what to avoid, in order to obtain excellent results.
